Sewell makes debut behind the plate
Former Oshawa Dodgers standout pitcher Brian Sewell made his transformation to catcher in his debut with the Mississauga Twins going 2-for-5 with two RBI.

Fat Cats get 3,724 fans in homeopener
The Ottawa Fat Cats played their first Intercounty Baseball League home game on Saturday night before a crowd of 3,724 fans at Ottawa Stadium.

5 Twins contribute with 2 hits each; Steffler gets roughed up in return to IBL
Branson Joseph, Darryl Pui, Derek Gordon, Graeme Copeland and Brian Sewell all had two hits each in the Twins 8-6 road victory over the expansion Ottawa Fat Cats. Former pro and IBL standout Dave Steffler made his debut with the Fat Cats lasting just 3 2/3 innings allowing seven runs (2 earned) on nine hits in the loss.

Reilly and Stewart lead Guelph past Kitchener 12-7
Sean Reilly and Chris Stewart both recorded three hits each in the Royals 12-7 victory over Kitchener Saturday afternoon. Reilly was 3-for-4 with a pair of homeruns, three RBI and four runs scored while Stewart was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Baycats Fillier drives in three in 8-2 victory
Barrie's Kyle Fillier went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI in the Baycats 8-2 victory over Hamilton Thunderbirds Saturday.
