Barrie defeats Thunderbirds 2-1
The Barrie Baycats defeated the Hamilton Thunderbirds by the score of 2-1 Thursday night at Barrie Metals`Stadium.

The Baycats Brad Bissell won the pitching battle against the T-Birds Jordell Farquharson going eight complete innings allowing one run on six hits with three strikeouts for his second victory of the season. Farquharson also went eight innings allowing two runs on six hits with three K's in the loss. Barrie's Kyle Payne got the final three outs in ninth for his first save of the campaign.

Ryan Spataro led Barrie with two hits including a double and a triple. Dave Latour contributed with an RBI double while Kyle Fillier drove in the other Baycat run.

Late rally leads Kitchener past London 7-4
The Kitchener Panthers scored five runs in the 8th inning as they came from behind to defeat the London Majors by the score of 7-4 Thursday night.

Mike Glinka led the Panthers offense going 3-for-5 with an RBI. Kevin Childs contributed with two hits and an RBI in the victory.

London was led by Ryan Lapensee who went 3-for-4 with a homerun. Mitch Delaney and Ryan Cattrysse also had solo homeruns in the loss.

Kitchener starter Tyler Wilson went 6 2/3 innings allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits with five strikeouts in a no decision. Brandon Farquhar closed out the game pitching 2 1/3 inning of shutout baseball allowing no hits with two K's for the victory.

London's Zachary Breault left the game with a 4-1 lead after six innings allowing one run on four hits with seven strikeouts. Josh Palmer was charged with the loss, allowing six runs (2 earned) on three hits over two innings of work.
