Metros roll past Erindale 13-2
The Niagara Metros collected a season high 15 hits Monday night on the road as they defeated the Erindale Cardinals by the score of 13-2.
Niagara starter Geoff Strong threw six strong innings allowing one run on six with two walks and six strikeouts for the victory. T.J. Tavender pitched the 7th inning giving up run on one hit with three walks, while striking out one. Erindale starter Chris Currie took the loss.
Veteran catcher Jono Marcheterre had a career game for Niagara, collecting a double and three singles with 4 RBI to lead the way. Andrew Sorochan drove in five runs which included a two-run double and a three-run homerun while Steve Baldinelli added a triple, two singles and two RBI. Evan Baglieri added two hits with a double and an RBI while Dan Proctor added a triple and three runs scored.
Geoff Cullen had an RBI double for the Cardinals.
