Spiak named "Extra Innings" Senior Baseball Player of the Week

Team: Glanbrook Grizzlies
League: COMBL

Glanbrook's Rob Spiak has been named this week's "Extra Innings" Senior Baseball Player of the Week. This past week, Spiak batted .476 going 10-for-21 with two doubles, six RBI and five runs scored. In COMBL action Spiak helped lead the Grizzlies to victories over Brampton and Mississauga SW going 5-for-9 (.556 AVG) to move them into first place in their division. He currently ranks among league leaders with a .448 average.

Greg Swan, Glanbrook Grizzlies (COMBL)
This past week, Grizzlies pitcher Greg Swan posted a 2-0 record throwing 11 1/3 innings of shutout ball while allowing just four hits with six strikeouts. Versus Brampton he picked up the victory and had a no-hitter going into the 7th inning.

Jeff Murdoch, Oshawa Royals (GTBL)
Murdoch helped lead the Royals to two victories this past week. In two games, he batted .500 going 5-for-10 with a double, two RBI and a stolen base. He currently leads the Royals and ranks third in the GTBL with a .438 average (14-for-32). Murdoch has also recorded three doubles, nine RBI and has hit safely in six of seven regular season games.

Jordan Lundberg, Barrie Baycats (IBL)
Barrie's Jordan Lundberg helped lead the Baycats to a 3-0 this past week as they improved to 13-3 on the season. In three games, he batted .667 going 8-for-12 with one RBI and three runs scored. He is currently third in IBL batting with a .365 average (19-for-52).

Luke Baker, Kitchener Panthers (IBL)
Kitchener's Luke Baker batted .625 this past week going 5-for-8 with an RBI and two runs scored. Versus Ottawa he recorded a game high four hits going 4-for-5 with an RBI. He is currently second in IBL batting with a .388 average (19-for-49).

Brian Ivan, Toronto Maple Leafs (IBL)

This past week Maple Leafs Brian Ivan batted .417 going 5-for-12 with a double, two homeruns for a 1.000 SLG%. He also drove in four runs while scoring three times. He is currently fourth in IBL batting with a .356 average (16-for-45) with five doubles, three homeruns and 13 RBI.
